Diclofenac inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and inflammation. Magnesium trisilicate reduces stomach acid, protecting against NSAID-induced gastritis. Paracetamol's mechanism is less fully understood, but it is believed to act on the central nervous system to reduce fever and pain.
