About Olimab 60mg Inj
Olimab 60mg Inj (Denosumab) is a medication used to treat osteoporosis, bone loss associated with androgen deprivation therapy, and giant cell tumor of bone. It works by inhibiting the formation and function of osteoclasts, the cells responsible for bone resorption. Denosumab is administered as a subcutaneous injection. Common side effects include hypocalcemia, infections, and skin reactions at the injection site. It is important to discuss your medical history and any other medications you are taking with your doctor before starting denosumab treatment. Be sure to inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant.
Ingredients of Olimab 60mg Inj

    Denosumab

Is a monoclonal antibody that targets rankl (receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-b ligand).

Direction for Use of Olimab 60mg Inj

Treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk for fracture.

Treatment of osteoporosis in men at high risk for fracture.

Treatment of bone loss associated with androgen deprivation therapy in men with prostate cancer.

Treatment of giant cell tumor of bone (GCTB) in patients who are not candidates for surgery.

How Olimab 60mg Inj Works

Olimab 60mg Inj (Denosumab) binds to RANKL, preventing it from activating its receptor, RANK, on osteoclast precursor cells. This inhibits the formation and function of osteoclasts, the cells responsible for bone resorption. By reducing bone resorption, denosumab increases bone mineral density and reduces the risk of fractures.

Storage and Handling of Olimab 60mg Inj

Denosumab should be stored in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F). Do not freeze. Protect from light.
