Paroxetine

A selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (ssri) antidepressant.

Clonazepam

A benzodiazepine used as an anti-anxiety medication and anticonvulsant.

Treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) with significant anxiety symptoms.

Management of panic disorder with or without agoraphobia.

Shortterm relief of severe anxiety.

Offlabel use in some cases of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), but usually not the first-line treatment.

Paroxetine increases serotonin levels in the brain by blocking its reuptake, improving mood and reducing anxiety. Clonazepam enhances the effects of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that inhibits nerve impulses, reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation. The combination provides both a longer-term mood elevation (paroxetine) and immediate anxiety relief (clonazepam).

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of unused medication properly according to local regulations.

Dosage is determined by a physician and is highly individualized based on the patient's condition and response to treatment.

The combination is typically started with low doses of both medications, gradually increased as needed.

Never adjust the dosage on your own; always consult with your doctor.

Withdrawal symptoms upon abrupt discontinuation (especially clonazepam)

While Driving or operating Machinery

Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you. Drowsiness and impaired coordination are possible side effects.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor immediately. Both medications can pose risks to the fetus or infant. Alternative treatments may be considered.



Children

Generally not prescribed for children, except in specific circumstances under strict medical supervision.



Kidney

May require dosage adjustments in patients with kidney impairment.



Liver

May require dosage adjustments in patients with liver impairment.
