Is an antitussive (cough suppressant) that works by reducing the activity in the part of the brain that triggers coughing.
This medication is used to temporarily relieve cough due to the common cold or other upper respiratory tract infections.
It can also be used to relieve symptoms of allergies such as sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and itching.
0 Dextromethorphan works by suppressing the cough reflex in the brain, reducing the urge to cough.1 Diphenhydramine blocks the action of histamine, a chemical that is released during allergic reactions. This helps to reduce the symptoms of allergies.
Store at room temperature between 15-30 degrees Celsius (59-86 degrees Fahrenheit).
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiration date printed on the label.
Dispose of any unused medication properly.
Follow the directions on the product label or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not take more than the recommended dose.
Take this medication with a full glass of water.
You can take this medication with or without food.
In rare cases, more serious side effects may occur. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following: rapid heartbeat, irregular heartbeat, seizures, tremors, difficulty breathing, chest pain, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, difficulty urinating.
Alcohol can increase the drowsiness and dizziness caused by this medication. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication.
This medication can cause drowsiness and dizziness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or engage in other activities that require alertness until you know how this medication affects you.
It is not known if this medication is safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
This medication should not be given to children under 6 years of age. Talk to your doctor about the appropriate dosage for your child.
This medication may be harmful to your kidneys. Talk to your doctor before taking this medication if you have kidney disease.
This medication may be harmful to your liver. Talk to your doctor before taking this medication if you have liver disease.
