Ofloxacin

A fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacteria.

Metronidazole

An antimicrobial drug effective against anaerobic bacteria and some parasites.

Treatment of bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract (e.g., diarrhea caused by susceptible bacteria).

Treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) in women when caused by susceptible bacteria.

Treatment of intraabdominal infections (in combination with other antibiotics).

Treatment of bacterial infections of the skin and soft tissues (certain cases).

Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing bacterial DNA replication and cell division. Metronidazole disrupts DNA synthesis in susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoa by forming toxic metabolites.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Dosage will vary depending on the specific infection, patient age, and kidney function. Always follow the prescription instructions precisely.

The medication is usually taken orally with or without food.

Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve to prevent recurrence of infection.

Rare but serious side effects: Tendonitis, tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy.

Alcohol Consumption

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Use only if clearly needed and under strict medical supervision. Potential risks to the developing fetus or infant should be carefully evaluated.
