Ramipril

This is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ace) inhibitor.

Hydrochlorothiazide

This is a thiazide diuretic.

High blood pressure (hypertension)

Ramipril blocks the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a powerful vasoconstrictor. This lowers blood pressure by dilating blood vessels. Hydrochlorothiazide increases urine production, which helps to lower blood pressure by reducing the volume of blood in the body.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage of ramipril + hydrochlorothiazide is determined by your doctor based on your medical condition and response to treatment.

It is usually taken once a day, with or without food.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not change your dosage without consulting your doctor.

Serious side effects are rare but can include: angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat), kidney problems, liver problems, and low blood cell counts.

Common side effects include: dizziness, headache, cough, fatigue, low blood pressure, and potassium levels.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of low blood pressure, so it's important to limit alcohol intake while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness, so it's important to avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for advice on alternative treatments.



Children

This medication is not recommended for use in children.



Kidney
